One person was killed and four others injured in an accident in the north of the County of Orange on the Santa Ana motorway (5) near the motorway exchanger 91 on Saturday evening.
The accident was reported for the first time to California Highway Patrol at 7:11 p.m. on the Northbound 5 motorway, just north of Magnolia Avenue, near the borders of Anaheim, Fullerton and Buena Park.
Witnesses told the CHP that a white SUV was being driven imprudent before the collision with a dark SUV, which made the two vehicles ride and made the white SUV pass.
One person was declared dead on the scene and four traumatized patients were taken by ambulance in hospitals, said Captain Sean Doran, captain of Orange County Fire Authority.
Caltrans closed all the tracks, but the Hov route on the Santa Ana motorway in northern direction and traffic was diverted on the highway towards Riverside (91) and the ramp off Magnolia avenue.
