One person died and another was injured Monday evening after falling from a border barrier in San Diego, officials of the border patrol said.
The agents of the border patrol found two people “who seemed to have fallen from the border barrier” trying to enter the United States around 11 pm, the agency said in a statement.
The San Diego police department said the two had been found near Clearwater Way and Dairy Mart Road, west of the San Ysidro entrance port.
One person was declared dead on the scene and the other was transported to the hospital, said Border Patrol. No other information about them has been published.
The incident is under investigation by customs and the American border Protection Bureau of professional responsibility.
