A late-night shooting at an Ohio movie theater left one person dead, police said.
The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. when Massilon police received a report of a shooting at a Regal Cinemas movie theater in Massilon, Ohio, about 50 miles south of Cleveland.
“Massilon Police officers responded and found a deceased male near the lobby,” authorities said in their statement early Saturday morning detailing the shooting. “The victim has been identified as Daron Davis, 27, of Canton Ohio.”
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., police said a suspect was taken into custody in front of the Massilon police station. Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect or revealed a possible motive for the killing.
No additional details about the shooting were immediately available and the investigation is currently ongoing.
